Dusty Norris, Percussion Class Teacher -

Dusty Norris is the percussion specialist that comes every morning to teach our beginner percussion class.  He also teaches our weekly Wind Ensemble percussion morning sectionals.  Mr. Norris is one of the associate band directors at Clear Brook High School.

Under his direction, the Clear Brook Drumline has won numerous awards.  In 2015, they were the 2nd place winter drumline in the world championships held in Dayton, Ohio.  They are frequent "Best Percussion" winners in various marching contests.

Mr. Norris graduated from Eastern Illinois University with his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, and The University of Akron with his Master's Degree in music.  He was a member of the snare line for the World Champion 1996 Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps. 

Previously, Mr. Norris worked at Manvel High School and Pearland High School.  He is an active clinician and judge.  He is known for having high expectations for his students and they consistently rise to the challenge.

Mr. Norris is married to his wife, Terri, and they have two sons named Andrew and Ryan.  Andrew is a 7th grade percussionist in Pearland ISD.  Ryan is in elementary school.
