Mrs. Rogers waaaaay back in Clear Brook Band 1990 -

Mrs. Rogers grew up in Clear Creek ISD and began playing the cornet at Weber Elementary.  Mr. Mike Barker and Mrs. Andie Troutman were her band directors from 6th-8th grade.  At Webster Intermediate, she earned placement into the Region Band and earned 1st divisions on her solos and ensembles.  Mrs. Rogers went to Clear Brook High School.  She earned membership into District, Region, and Area Band in her Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years.  She was an All State Band member in 1993 and 1994, which is the highest individual honor one can receive in band.  In her senior year, she was second chair in the All State Band.  Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Houston Youth Symphony, Sagemont Baptist Church Orchestra, Foley's All Star Band, Trumpets of Texas, and in her senior year she was in the CBHS Winter Guard.  She was the Historian of the Clear Brook Band and the Vice President of the C.L.E.A.R. Club (Clean Living Encouragement And Responsibility).  She played in the pit orchestra for the senior musicals each year, and in her senior year she traded in her trumpet chops for acting chops and played the role of the Baker's Wife in "Into the Woods".

Mrs. Rogers earned a full scholarship to Sam Houston State University, where she studied Music Education under Dr. Gary Sousa.  She received the "Outstanding Freshman" award for the Bearkat Marching Band and was a member of the music sorority Sigma Alpha Iota and the Vice President of Tau Beta Sigma.  In addition to the marching band, Mrs. Rogers was a member of the SHSU Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Jazz Band, Pep Band, and Brass Quintet.  Mrs. Rogers played in the Musical Pit Orchestra for SHSU and played trumpet on "Brigadoon" and her all time favorite, "A Chorus Line".  She was in the trumpet studio of Randy Adams.   She was a member of the 1998 Phantom Regiment, a drum & bugle corps based out of Rockford, Illinois.  When Mrs. Rogers taught private lessons during college, she formed the Clear Creek Trumpet Ensemble, a group of her private lesson students that performed the National Anthem at an Astros game each year.

Mrs. Rogers previously worked in Pearland ISD at Pearland High School, Pearland Junior High West & Sablatura Middle School, and Berry Miller Junior High & Rogers Middle School.  As soon as the opportunity arose to work with Mrs. Troutman, Mrs. Rogers came home to Clear Creek ISD in 2010.

Mrs. Rogers has taught trumpet and brass private lessons since 1995.  She plays trumpet professionally for weddings and church jobs.  She has been a trumpet player in the Arpeggio Brass Quintet since 2006.  They play several times a year at Our Savior Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Rogers is married to Bryan Rogers, also a former student of Mr. Barker and Mrs. Troutman.  Bryan was a percussionist and still plays some today.  He works for the United States Federal Courts in downtown Houston as the IT Assistant Manager.  Mr. and Mrs. Rogers have two daughters:  Susanna, who is eight years old, and Caroline, who is 1 year old.
